Memorial or honorary tributes are a wonderful way to recognize a simcha, mark a milestone, or remember a loved one. Tribute cards can be sent from the Advancement office to the family or whomever you choose informing them of your contribution to Schechter Bergen.

All gifts are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged in our annual report.

Dedicate A Day of Limud (Learning)

At Schechter Bergen, we aim to inspire a love of learning from the very first day of Gan 3’s through to Graduation. We invite you to dedicate a Day of Limud (Learning) at Schechter Bergen to honor the memory of a loved one, celebrate a simcha (such as a birth, bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, or birthday), commemorate a yahrzeit, Kehillot learn in the merit of a loved one's Refu'ah Sheleimah (complete recovery), or honor a parent, teacher, leader, or friend.

There are four ways to participate:

  • $180 - Dedicate a Day of Limud in up to two individual Kehillot (i.e. Early Childhood and the 1-2 Kehillah)
  • $360 - Dedicate a Day of Limud throughout Schechter Bergen
  • $540 - Dedicate a Day of Limud for 3 years in a row
  • $613 - Dedicate a Week of Limud  

Day of Limud Dedications are shared:

  • In a dedicated e-blast to our community (sent once a week)
  • On our front entry screen in our main lobby
  • In our weekly newsletter - Yesh
  • On social media (Facebook and Instagram)
  • In an announcement during our Misdar Boker

Please note:

  • Dedications must be submitted at least 48 business hours before your requested date.
  • We will confirm your dedication's wording within 48 hours of the selected date.
  • Multiple families may choose the same day, and all will be listed.

Making a gift in tribute is a meaningful way to celebrate a simcha or honor the memory of a friend or loved one. A card will be sent to the recipient or their family on your behalf.

Please select a book fund below. If you are paying by check, mail a check payable to SSDS for $20 per book. A book will be donated to the Kaplen Library fund of your choice, with a bookplate in the child’s honor.
